ON THE PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
1 – Data controller and recipients of personal data
The personal data collected (“Data”) in the context of the use of our Site and, more generally, in the context of the relations that you may have with our Company, are processed by AGRO INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL, A Simplified Joint Stock Company, registered with the Saint-Malo Trade and Companies Register under number 402 947 014, having its registered office at 18 avenue Franklin Roosevelt – 35400 Saint-Malo, as data controller (“Data Controller”).
Data means any information relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier.
Depending on the purpose of the processing, the Data collected and/or transmitted are intended to be used by the Data Controller, in particular the internal employees responsible for coordinating the competition, institutional communication or promoting the selected projects.
They will also be made accessible to the following service providers (“subcontractors” or “third-party recipients” within the meaning of the regulations) for the strict needs of their mission, in particular:
• technical service providers: communication agency, hosting company for our Website (see Terms of Use and legal notices available HERE);
• the members of the jury and the technical partners involved in the management and evaluation of the applications for the Roullier Innovation Awards competition;
The use of the image, voice or words of the selected participants for internal or external communications may only take place after obtaining their explicit and prior consent.
Access is strictly regulated by the security policies in place, so that human intervention on the Data remains very exceptional. The Data Controller may be required to communicate your Data to third parties in cases where such communication is authorised and required by law or a court order, or if such communication is necessary to ensure the protection and defence of its rights.
Apart from these cases, your Data will not be transferred or made accessible to any third party without your prior consent.
Data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in particular to certain Affiliates of the Roullier Group or technical service providers. Such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, the Data Privacy Framework for entities established in the United States.
2 – Purposes of Data collection
Data that is essential to manage your application for the competition, respond to your requests via the contact form, or allow you to participate in the activities offered on the Roullier Innovation Awards website, will be reported to you as such when they are collected.
This Data is necessary for the organization of the competition, communication with participants, and compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations.
The following Data is processed in this context:
• Identification data: surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, institution or structure, professional status (e.g. student, researcher, journalist),
• Data relating to messages and content transmitted via the forms (question, application, intention to participate),
• Connection data (IP address, timestamp, use of the site for statistical purposes),
• Location data (country, region, only if voluntarily provided),
• Where applicable, image, voice or speech data if you are a winner of the competition and consent to their use for internal or external communications,
• Any other data that you provide to us in the context of your participation or your exchanges with our team.
No data relating to means of payment or commercial transactions is collected on this site, which is dedicated exclusively to the management of a non-commercial competition.
The Data will be used in different ways, depending on the reason that led you to consult the Site:
• On the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time without calling into question the initial lawfulness of the use of your Data (below, art. 3 “Your Rights”), in particular for the sending of communications relating to the competition or, where applicable, for the use of your image, voice or words if you are a winner;
• For the purposes of managing your participation in the Roullier Innovation Awards competition: receipt and processing of your application file, communication with you during the various phases of the competition, organisation of the pre-selection and final, publication of the results, possible support after selection;
• To respond to your requests made via the contact form (e.g. general information, questions about the rules, press or technical requests);
• To ensure compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations, in particular with regard to the management of rights of access, rectification and opposition, or the keeping of a processing register specific to the Innovation Awards operation.
Unless you object and within the limits of your interests and rights, your Data may also be used for the legitimate needs of the Data Controller, in particular:
• Anonymised statistical analysis of traffic on the website for the purpose of optimising navigation and the presentation of content;
• Improvement of communication systems around the competition (content, formats, media);
• The promotion of the projects and the promotion of the winners, as part of the competition’s dissemination strategy, with your prior agreement when a personal use of your image is envisaged.
Please note: no commercial purpose or processing related to the sale of goods or services is implemented on the Innovation Awards Roullier website. This site has an exclusively institutional, scientific and event vocation.
3 – About cookies
Various cookies are used on the Site to improve the interactivity between you, the Site and the services offered.

4 – Your rights regarding the Data
Persons whose Data is processed by the Data Controller have the right to access, rectify erroneous Data concerning them, and, in the cases and within the limits provided for by the regulations, to oppose, delete some of their Data, withdraw their consent, have their use limited, and determine their fate after their death, or to request their portability with a view to their transmission to a third party.
To exercise your rights, simply write to one of the two addresses mentioned in Article 6 below and attach, if applicable, any document to prove your identity and your request.
5 – Data retention periods
Your Data is kept for a period not exceeding that strictly necessary in view of the purposes for which it is collected, in particular:
• The data collected via the entry form is kept for 3 years from the end of the relevant edition of the competition, then archived for evidentiary purposes for the applicable legal period (5 years maximum);
• The data from the contact form is kept for 1 year from the last exchange with the user, then deleted or archived depending on its nature;
• Technical and analytical cookies are kept for a maximum period of 13 months from the date of their deposit on your terminal, in accordance with the applicable regulations;
• Content containing personal data of the winners (image, voice, comments) is kept for a maximum of 5 years for communication and promotion purposes, unless the consent of the person concerned is withdrawn or opposed.
At the end of these periods, the Data will be deleted from the active databases and, if necessary, archived for a period not exceeding the legal limitation periods or the applicable archiving obligations. Once these periods have expired, the Data will be destroyed.
